The Regional Director Outpatient Imaging Operations, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of Montgomery Radiology Associates, P.A., is responsible for the daily operation of outpatient imaging centers. As a member of the senior management team, the Director Clinical Operations will work closely with the group president, medical directors, and hospital partners to ensure the efficient, timely, and accessible delivery of outpatient imaging services to our patients and referring offices.
Montgomery Radiology Associates, www.montrad.com, based in Montgomery, Alabama, is a group of thirty-five (35) board certified radiologists living and working throughout central and southern Alabama. Our professional staff includes board certified radiologists with sub-specialties and certificates of additional qualifications in neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, breast imaging, body imaging, and interventional radiology.
Direct Managers of four (4) outpatient multi-modality imaging centers, centralized scheduling, and pre-authorization functions performing over 100,000 outpatient imaging procedures annually.
Direct Client Support Liaisons in each market to build on positive reputation within healthcare community and to be the imaging provider of choice in all markets served.
Deliver the highest quality, most easily accessible, friendliest, and efficient imaging service.
Identify and overcome obstacles to providing exceptional customer service.
Ensure facilities and staff are compliant with changing government, TJC, NRC, MQSA, ACR, and contract requirements for delivery of clinical services.
Leads by example, is action oriented, and looks for opportunities to tackle challenges.
Demonstrates excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to lead teams, delegate, and display professionalism when managing difficult situations.
Establishes work methods and makes operational decisions consistent with company policies.
Protects patient privacy, employee confidentiality, and company’s ethical boundaries.
Understands how diverse hospitals work, builds credibility at their executive level, and works within their organizations to be the dominant outpatient imaging provider in the markets served.
Assigns responsibility for tasks, sets clear measureable objectives, and provides support to reporting managers while monitoring results.
Uses critical business thinking when allocating resources, evaluating customer service, analyzing market changes, and resolving personnel issues.
Responsible for setting and delivering on aggressive volume and expense budgets.
Analyzes financial statements and other data when making staff allocation decisions and other operational adjustments resulting in financial success.
Ensures pre-authorizations are obtained prior to procedures being performed as required by third party payers and accurate patient / billing information is captured at registration.
Establishes telephone response, scheduling backlog, service turnaround time, and other service delivery goals with imaging center managers and consistently achieves those goals.
Collaborates with the group president and facility medical directors to achieve quality outcomes.
Five years managing outpatient imaging services within a group practice, company, or healthcare system required.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or healthcare related field required.
Experience managing imaging center workflow within an enterprise-wide PACS required.
ARRT or equivalent certification required; certification in multiple imaging modalities desired.
Current valid driver’s license required.
Prior involvement in healthcare related business development and client support desired.
