Job Summary/Purpose: The Radiation Oncology Administrative Manager for Georgetown Radiation Oncology Center reports to the Director of Operations/Finance, Oncology. Under limited supervision, the Radiation Oncology Administrative Manager is responsible for the management of the department, including budgeting, personnel, patient care procedures, strategic planning and other daily operations. This role has a direct reporting relationship with the Directors of both MUSC and Tidelands Health as well as has responsibility to the GRTC JV Board. This position acts as a liaison between staff, physicians, hospital administration, Accounts Payable, physics and dosimetry, I.S. Department, and outside regulatory agencies.
Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred. Graduate from AMA approved school of Therapeutic Radiology and registered as a Radiation Therapist (R.T.T.) preferred. Five years of Radiation Therapy experience with minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory role preferred.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
