BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Performs a variety of diagnostic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation for diagnosis of disease processes and delineation of both normal/abnormal anatomy as well as pathological conditions in areas of the human body.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education
  - High School/GED preferred. Completion of an accredited Radiological program.
- Minimum Work Experience
  - New graduate or 1 year of general radiology experience required. Pediatric experience preferred.
- Required Licenses/Certifications for position
  - Registered by the American Registry of Radiographic Technology (ARRT) or Registry eligible.
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  - Ability to operate various x-ray equipment, fluoroscopic and auxiliary equipment to produce quality images.
  - Ability to work flexible hours-alternate shift, rotates on call for evening, weekend and holiday coverage.
  - Able to adapt to new programs and equipment upgrades as radiological field advances, effective organizational and time management skills, effective written and verbal communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 150 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
