The Supply Chain Analyst collaborates with supply chain, finance, and clinical leadership. Has a foundational knowledge of revenue cycle and medical billing as it relates to supplies to identify trends and opportunities for not only pricing efficiencies but process improvement. Functions as the liaison with Information Technology and Accounting for all systems utilized by supply chain. Has a working knowledge of how supply chain and finance systems interface with EMR, EHR, and surgery information systems within Springfield Clinic. Works closely with Supply Chain Director, Purchasing Manager and Sourcing Manager to sift through data during negotiations and understanding total costs of ownership. Educates and trains users on purchasing/inventory software and related systems' functionality and design. Provides input on systems related issues to the Director and other department managers as a member of the Supply Chain team.

Principal Responsibilities
- Work with the department managers and supply chain leadership to ensure all systems are functioning for clean data reporting (Oracle, People Soft, SIS, EMR and EHRs). Organize all inventory activities related to the implementation and maintenance of systems within both department and end user areas. Act as the primary liaison with the Purchasing Manager, Accounting, and Information Technology on all Purchasing/ Inventory systems.
- Coordinate the use of inventory systems with the department directors and other end-users as a tool for enhanced reporting.
- Manage the data collection, analysis, interpretation, integration and reporting processes not limited to PeopleSoft, Oncology, ASC, Rheumatology, Ophthalmology and other inventory program reporting tools.
- Provide training and education to staff on how to data mine and increase performance effectiveness by way of analytics.
- Coordinate purchasing/inventory systems upgrades with Information Technology to resolve system problems effectively and independently, thus ensuring data integrity.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in healthcare materials management, purchasing, sourcing and logistics in order to enhance professional expertise.
- Act as a department lead for daily operations, when designated by the manager, in the event of absences by the supervisor or manager.
- Be the functional expert with use of inventory management cabinets; ie, Lynx and Omni-Cell.
- Provide expertise and back up in inventory areas as needed; most notably during physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Interact effectively with all systems users, staff, and vendors.
- Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
- Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
- Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree is required. (Business, Accounting, or Analytics preferred)
- Two (2) years' healthcare inventory or related experience is preferred.
- Must have a high level of computer skills and be well versed in the Windows environment, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- PeopleSoft and/or inventory software experience is preferred.
- Tableau experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to delegate and coordinate inventory tasks and functions to both professional and clerical staff.
- Must be able to be to work on a self-directed or independent basis, as well as to work at times as both as a team leader and a team member.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
