Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Radiology Cardio Tech for Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Morristown Medical Center. Required Hours vary including weekends and on-call as required by department.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position:
Candidate will be responsible for performing Radiation Safety checks, prepare, maintain, operate, calibrate and balance all equipment to ensure function.
Perform monthly checks of physician and staff leads.
Must be able to document QC on all technical equipment, including, imaging iSTAT and Oxicom.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Candidate will assist physician(s) with CATH/PCI, Peripheral, Impella, Structural Heart Cases (CoreValve, SAPIEN, MitraClip, Watchman, Valvuloplasty, PFO, ASD) and ICD cases.
Administers post recovery care of patients including, arterial and venous sheath removal.
Must be able to assess for and manage arterial access site complications.
Adheres to on-call policy requirements and responds appropriate to emergency calls per unit policy.
High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology required.
To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
Valid NJ Basis Arrhythmia State License for Rad Techs required.
1-2 years minimum Rad Tech experience preferred.
