JOB SUMMARY:Â
Under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist, Chief Radiation Therapist, and Director of Oncology Services, the staff Radiation Therapist accurately delivers ionizing radiation to the patients in accordance with the planned treatment prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. The staff radiation therapist will assist as needed in all aspects of the Radiation Oncology Department functions, such as patient care, patient treatment delivery, patient treatment records, radiation safety, quality assurance and patient follow-up programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Â
At least 3 months of clinical experience working in a state-of-the-art radiation oncology facility, using newer technology and techniques.Â
Experience using Varian True Beam linac and Philips Brilliance CT sim is valuable.Â
Certified and registered by the ARRT in Radiation Therapy Technology required.Â
BLS certificate required.Â
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):Â
Graduate of ARRT-approved educational program in Radiation Therapy Technology preferred.Â
